The JA Technology Toolkit

The JA toolkit is assembled with the constraint that there is no infrastructure necessary except for a computer with access to the Internet. If anything needs to be downloaded and installed, or if there is a MAC vs PC issue, it is not considered. This minimizes the need for any capital or management investment and supplies a bit of obselescence insurance going forward.  It also will put you in a position to take advantage of cheaper, better digital delviery devices as they become available.

In addition to Google and GMail and the functionalities associated with them, Josefowicz Associates has built useful communication tools on the platforms supplied by Basecamp and PB Wiki.

Basecamp provides the platform for a very effective on line project managment tool. With the addition of the practices we've developed over the last two years, it is a perfect way to manage very complicated projects with very clear deadlines, budgets, and many stakeholders.  We have managed over 100 projects, at Parsons The New School of Design, as well as in private practice. Combined with pbwiki as an asset collection tool, it eliminates the "he said, she said" problem. It also eliminates the unmanageable chain of emails that is the default practice of non professionals.

The tool is free to use when JA is engaged. And is very affordable and  accessible once the engagement is complete.

PBwiki, in addition to supplying a fast, easy free but advertising supported Wiki, has worked with JA to develop Wiki2Web. This is an online tool that combines the publishing power of a website with the ease of updating and managing of a wiki. The website you are now reading is an example of a Wiki2Website. If the on line point and click editor is not sophisticated enough for your needs, a little knowledge of CSS gives you almost complete freedom in creating a Web 2.0 compliant communication web site.

It is the invention of this tool that allows us to install a completely customized website for your team or organization in a matter of days and weeks, not weeks and months.  The learning curve is very short and the cost is $99.50 per month with a yearly contract, payable to PBWiki not JA. In addition to the wiki to website transformation, there are many other features as described on the PBWiki site in the description of the Platinum Plan.

This enables your team to continue to grow and learn when our engagement is over.
